The timer is a type of field that allows users to track time to specific records.

When viewing a record, you may find a field that looks something like this:

How to start a timer

  • Clicking on 'Track' will start a timer (see picture above).

    • Note: If there is another timer running already, you will be prompted to either stop the current timer or continue starting a new one.

How to stop a timer

Clicking on the red running timer (see picture below) will prompt you to Log or Discard the tracked time.

  • Choosing to Log your time will stop the timer and allow you to edit your time entry in order to fine-tune the duration, add notes, and adjust tags (see How to edit a time entry section below).

  • Choosing to Discard your timer will stop the timer and not log any time entry.

You can also stop running timers from your Time Sheet by clicking on the timer button in the bottom-left navigation:

This will present you with your Time Sheet:

Any running timers will show a red 'Stop' button in the Status column. Simply click on the 'Stop' button to stop the running timer.

How to create a manual time entry

Clicking on '+' will allow you to create a manual time entry (see photo above).

  • You will be presented with a form that will allow you to set the start date, duration, notes, and tags (see How to edit a time entry section below).

You can also click on the Logged time to the right of the timer button (see screenshot below) to pull up all of the Time Entries associated with that particular timer field and then click the 'New' button in the top-right.

How to edit a time entry

From here, you can:

  • Set the Start Date

  • Set the Duration

    • (Note: the format is hours:minutes:seconds)

    • ex: 12:15:05 translates to 12 hours, 15 minutes, and 5 seconds

  • The End Date is not editable at this time, but the field will update automatically as you adjust the Start Date and Duration.

How to see time entries associated with a single timer

Click on the Logged time to the right of the timer button (see screenshot below) to pull up all of the Time Entries associated with that particular timer field.

And that's all there is to it!
